All adults eligible for a booster jab have been told they should get it by the end of January, with temporary vaccination centres set to 'pop up like Christmas trees' over the coming weeks.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the news in a Downing Street conference this afternoon, November 30.
It comes as the public were reassured the booster rollout would be expanded to all over-18s in light of growing Coronavirus cases and the new Omicron variant.
The PM confirmed that the aim is to offer the booster jabs to all adults by the end of January.
This offer will be handed out based on age in descending order in five year bands.
All adults over the age of 18 are now eligible for a third shot - a booster vaccination, in the fight against Covid-19.
"Our best single defence is to get vaccinated and to get boosted - your immune response will be stronger", the PM said, opening his press conference.
And he added that temporary vaccination centres will 'pop up like Christmas trees', with 400 military personnel to be be deployed to help the NHS.
People were also urged not to contact the NHS directly and told: "we will let you know when you need a jab".

He said: “As with the first jabs, we will be working through people by age group going down in five-year bands, because it is vital that the older and the more clinically vulnerable get that added protection first.
“So, even if you have had your second jab over three months ago and you are now eligible, please don’t try and book until the NHS says it is your turn.”
It comes after the booster rollout expansion was announced on Monday - when the wait time between second and third doses was halved from six months to just three.
The JCVI advised all adults over 18 could be offered a booster jab.
And children aged 12-15 have been advised they can accept a second dose of the vaccine against Covid-19.
