Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to social media and praised Harry Winks for his performance as England beat the Republic of Ireland.
First-half goals from Harry Maguire and Jadon Sancho had the Three Lions in control and a penalty from the in-form Dominic Calvert-Lewin after the break sealed a comfortable 3-0 victory.
Whilst Winks didn't get on the scoresheet at Wembley Stadium, he did play a big role in the opener.
It was the Spurs midfielder's cross that was brilliantly headed home by Maguire - the England captain for the night - to set Gareth Southgate's side on their way.
The assist may be a boost to Winks' confidence as the summer arrival of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton has increased competition for places in the holding midfield position at Spurs.
Despite being a regular in Jose Mourinho's side at the beginning of the season, Winks has not started any of the last five Premier League matches and has missed out on the matchday squad in two of the last three.
With the delayed European Championships taking place next summer, Winks will need to be playing regularly at club level if he's to remain in Gareth Southgate's plans.
But an assist and an impressive performance against Ireland can do his chances no harm.
As expected, Winks' assist has garnered a big response from Spurs fans on social media.
Many of whom have pointed out that it's the first time the 24-year-old has created a goal for his club in almost 100 appearances.
