A warning has been issued after two children were spotted trespassing on the roof of a school building in Bolton.
All Saints Primary School, which is based on Devon Street, issued the warning following two trespassing incidents in the last week. CCTV footage captured the young children on the roof, which was described as being ‘dangerous’ and ‘not built for people’.
Taking to social media, the school said it was concerned trespassers ‘could easily fall through’ the roof.
The post said: “Unfortunately we’ve had trespassers on our roof twice this week. These photos are taken from our roof camera, you can see from the last photo how dangerous their route up and down is, our shelters are not built for taking the weight of a person and they could easily fall through.”
The school said in the post that they were aware of the identity of one of the children, but were hoping to track down information about the second child.
In an update to the M.E.N, the school has said that both children have ‘now come forward and apologised’.
The school added that no damage had been caused.
In 2021, All Saints Primary was honoured with a Pearson National Teaching Silver Award for their ‘commitment to changing the lives of the children they work with every day’.
