Primary school parents on alert after child 'approached in street'

Parents are being warned after a child in the Woolton area was approached and made to feel "uncomfortable".

An email sent to parents from Woolton Primary states that schools in the area had been informed about the incident by the local authority .

It is believed that an incident took place in the Woolton area recently and parents whose children attend schools in the L25 area are being asked to be vigilant during drop offs and pick ups.

Parents of pupils who make their own way to school are also being asked to remind their children to stay safe.

Parents have been warned after a young person was approached in the L25 area of Liverpool (Google Street View)

The email that was sent out stated: "The local authority has just alerted us to an incident reported in the L25 area of Liverpool.

"This involved a young person being approached by an individual who made them feel uncomfortable.

"Please be as vigilant as possible when dropping off and collecting your child and please report any matters of concern to school immediately.

"If your child makes their own way to or from school, please remind your child of the importance of staying safe."

The young person involved is not believed to have been a pupil at Woolton Primary School.
