Primary school issues warning after 'middle-aged man invites children into car'

A primary school has issued a warning to parents after reports of a man asking children to get into his car near school gates. In a letter to parents on Friday the Rhydypenau school in Llanishen, Cardiff, said it had been made aware of concerns over an incident outside another primary school, Llanishen Fach in Rhiwbina. The letter read: "We'd like to make everyone aware of an incident that happened yesterday after school in the area surrounding Llanishen Fach Primary.

"We have received several reports this morning regarding a suspicious vehicle that approached some of our pupils on the way home yesterday. The vehicle has been described as a black people carrier driven by a middle-aged man. The driver verbally intimidated the pupils and asked them to get into his car. The incident has been reported to 101."
