Primary care services open in Lanarkshire this bank holiday

All GP practices and most community pharmacies across Lanarkshire will be open as normal on Monday, May 4.

However, in the Cambuslang and Rutherglen areas of South Lanarkshire and the Chryston, Moodiesburn and Stepps areas of North Lanarkshire, a number of community pharmacies will be closed on the public holiday.

For details of the pharmacies open in these areas, visit  www.nhslanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk/download/pharmacy-opening-times-may-2020/.

Craig Cunningham, Head of Commissioning and Performance, South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership said: “We would like to thank all community pharmacy staff for going above and beyond during these challenging times. They have seen a significant increase in their workload and have contributed in a very full and co-operative manner to the health board and council response to this challenge.”

Across Lanarkshire community pharmacies are returning to their normal opening hours, however physical distancing measures and restrictions remain in place.

Please do not attend your practice or community pharmacy if you have symptoms of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
