Primark trick to get items online while stores aren't open during lockdown

There are many activities we will miss during lockdown.

And for many people, that is likely to be a good rummage around Primark.

All non essential retailers are closed, including clothing stores, as part of the second national lockdown.

Ahead of the closure people rushed to Primark to ensure they could stock up on last minute essential fashion items.

Shoppers waiting to get their fashion fix joined long queues around the building desperate to get inside.

Unlike most retailers, Primark does not have an online store for shoppers to get their fix during lockdown, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Find out where's delivering near you:

John Bason, finance chief, previously spoke to MirrorOnline and said: "Look at a £2 T-shirt. Everyone thinks it's clickety-click but one third of clothes get returned.

“That means someone has to pick it up, someone has to deliver it, someone in the store has to take it back, refold it. It doesn’t work at the lower price point.”

However, although an official online store might not be in Primark's plans, the good news is there are other websites stocking its items.

Primark on eBay

One of the main places you can expect to find Primark products online is trading online store eBay.

The minute there is a surge of shoppers wanting to get their hands on the latest popular product sellers take to eBay to list the items, often at inflated prices.

Currently you can find its clothing and even its perfumes online.

Primark at Amazon

Amazon also continues to stock some Primark Essentials - with the page being packed with men's, children's and women's clothing.

Once on Amazon's website if you search 'Primark' a whole range of homeware products and pyjamas comes up and even some clothing by its instore brand Atmosphere.

However it is worth noting Primark does not have a “commercial relationship” with Amazon so any items are being sold through a third party.

Primark posted a statement about its products on Amazon on its Facebook page saying: "We do not have a commercial partnership with Amazon and any Primark products which appear on the site are being re-sold by third parties, at higher prices. We encourage our customers to visit us in our stores to find the best value."
