Primark shoppers convinced £35 coat is the same as a £1695 designer jacket

High street fashion chain Primark may not sell its clothes online, but that doesn't stop its products from going viral.

From shoes to jumpers, many of Primark's products become a talking point with shoppers as they look similar to more expensive designer versions - but cost just a fraction of the price.

One of the coats currently being sold by the high street brand is no exception, as shoppers are saying it looks 'exactly like' a £1695 coat.

Primark shared a picture of the faux fur coat, which costs £30, on Instagram earlier this month.

The coat is available in two colours - black and green - and is already a huge hit with shoppers, having racked up an impressive 46,000 likes and over 1,300 comments.

Shoppers are convinced the budget coat is the spitting image of the Firot shearling-lined leather coat by designer Claudie Pierlot, which is currently on sale in Selfridges for an eye-watering price of £1695.

"Need this," wrote one impressed social media user.

Another said: "Lovely the dark green one."

"I need the green one. I have a short green one i bought from primark a few years ago and still looks lovely," praised somebody else.

The coat is available in selected Primark stores now.
