Primark fans were treated recently when the high street retailer posted a baby blue, swirly patterned ensemble on Instagram, MyLondon reports.
It wasn't the £12 top and £15 trousers that stole the public's attention but rather the model that caused the post to go viral.
The Instagram post received nearly 1,000 comments from users expressing their admiration for the plus-size model selected by the retailer to show off the look.
“@hollieplus slayin in the IT co-ord," the caption read, with the model holding a matching handbag.
The comment section quickly filled with a flurry of other messages in support of the post. In fact, it was clear that most users found it altogether empowering to see someone plus-size modelling the brand's clothing.
As one user said: “Why do people have to wear flattering things? Life’s too short to only wear clothes that make your body look smaller or a different shape. Wear what makes you happy."
Another added: “Think we need to see more plus-size models. They are gorgeous. We should embrace all sizes.”
A third said: “Yass plus-size babes."
The model featured in the post, @hollieplus, is a plus-size model and mum, according to her Instagram bio. A look at her page reveals that the influencer regularly features snaps of her strutting her stuff in the latest trends.
As for her latest Primark look, the outfit left shoppers wondering whether the discounted retailer would be expanding their size range. In fact, one user commented that she had never seen a size larger than an 18 in Primark.
Whether or not a plus-size section will soon be available remains a mystery but what’s for sure is that the model definitely made a great impression.
