Primark's 'beautiful' floral £20 Bridgerton-inspired dress is perfect for Summer wedding guests

Bridgerton fans are 'running to Primark' over the retailer’s latest collaboration with Netflix. The budget retailer has launched a new 'Bridgerton obsessed' range so that shoppers can 'get their Regency era fix and feel like royalty at a great value price point'.

The popular historical romance-fiction show is set during the Regency era in England, and surrounds eight close-knit siblings of the powerful Bridgerton family as they attempt to find love.

Primark announced the new 23-piece range collab which includes nightwear and stylish corsets, as well as Bridgerton styled homeware and accessories.

“Bridgerton obsessed? Get your Regency era clothing fix with our Primark x Bridgerton sleepwear and lifestyle collection.

“You'll find plenty of 19th century inspired clothing with a romantic flair. Choose from our Bridgerton corset tops and pair them with your favourite jeans for a modern twist. Or opt for our breezy women's nightgowns and night dresses for an effortlessly stylish bedtime look.

“Looking for Bridgerton accessories and stationery? We've got that too! So, take a peek at our range of tote bags, pencil cases, and much, much more!” Primark said.

A description of the new Bridgerton-inspired collection on the Primark website says: "While previous eras would have seen the corset reserved for wearing underneath elegant dresses and eveningwear, nowadays it’s all about casual corsetry styling. With form-fitting bustier designs featuring lace up detailing and hook and eye fastenings, nail the regency-romance aesthetic with ease whatever the occasion.

"Style the jacquard and floral prints with wide-leg trousers, denim, or cargo trousers to bring these coveted corsets into the current period."

One of the most jaw-dropping pieces in the collection is the Bridgerton Ivory Floral Chemise Dress which costs a very purse-friendly £20, and looks a lot more expensive than it is. It can be easily paired with a pearl necklace and an off-white linen blazer for an easy wedding guest look.

The £12 Bridgerton Floral Corset comes in the same gorgeous floral design. This can be paired with cargos or jeans for an effortless Summer look, which can be worn at festivals, BBQs, picnics, garden parties or for bottomless brunch with the girls.

Fans of the show were overjoyed at the new drop, with many planning 'Bridgerton shopping sprees' to celebrate the new line.

On TikTok, Adele Jones Briscoe wrote: “Now I feel like I need a Bridgerton party!”

Claudia tagged her friend Megan in the Primark video, suggesting they have “a Bridgerton themed tea party.”

TikTok user Marii said: “I would buy literally all of it.”

Afrina said: “My inner child is screaming,” while Lizzi wrote: “Screaming and crying.”

Sara said: “gotta have it all, gonna have it all.”

Sarah Jackson, director of licensing at Primark, said: “We are delighted to collaborate once again with our license partner Netflix on our new Bridgerton collection, which is sure to be a fan favourite.

“From delicate floral nightwear to opulent stationery and homeware, customers can get their Regency era fix and feel like royalty at a great value price point.

“We look forward to continuing our successful partnership with Netflix on more exciting initiatives in the near future, so watch this space.”
