Primark responds to Eastenders star who made plea for online shop

An Eastenders actress has taken to Twitter in a dramatic plea to Primark to ‘save Christmas’ and move their brand online.

Danniella Westbrook tweeted the clothes store and within just a few hours the tweet had been liked over 100 times by fans who feel the same way, Essex Live reports.

In her tweet, she said: "Ok so I have to say this why oh why does @Primark not have online shopping ....

"Every single last person goes to @Primark.

"I’m all for safety and lockdown rules but Primark please help a woman out here and allow us to shop online please...."

However she doesn't appear to be having much luck.

Primark quite clearly replied back saying: "Hi Danniella, we don't plan on opening an online shop or a delivery service."

In response, Danielle added as a final plea: "We need you to save Christmas and do delivery !!!!"

The store said they would pass on her comments to the relevant department "and also Santa, just in case".

One person replied agreeing with Danielle: "They must be losing so much money by not having online shopping. They did talk about doing it a few years ago but never happened. Very strange"

Another added: "They must've lost an absolute fortune during the first lockdown, couldn't believe it when I found out they don't have online shopping."
