Primark reopens stores but shopping experience will be very different for its customers

Fashion retailer Primark is reopening today having closed its doors back in March when restrictions came into force to help prevent spread of coronavirus.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced that all non-essential stores could begin to reopen today, June 15, as long as premises were Covid-19 secure.

And, Primark finally put fans out of their misery last week when its bosses confirmed all of its UK stores would be reopening, reports the LiverpoolEcho.

However, shopping will be very different with a number of strict safety measures are introduced in line with Government guidelines.

As well as two metre markings throughout the stores, certain sections will be closed off to the public and a strict customer limit will also be in place.

The customer limit means shoppers will be asked to queue outside when this has been reached in order to ensure everyone can keep a safe distance when shopping inside.

However, Primark will not operate reduced opening hours meaning shoppers will be able to spread their visits out throughout the day.

Sore bosses expect early morning to be busiest while it is predicted to be quieter later in the day.

Every Primark in the UK is reopening today at 9am.

It has confirmed stores will then be open Monday-Saturday 8am-8pm and Sunday 11am-5pm.
