Primark warns customers to stop buying its products online from Amazon

A day after news broke that you could buy Primark goods online with same-day delivery , the budget chain has pleaded with its customers to keep heading in store instead.

The news comes after shoppers spotted that a large number of the store's iconic products were listed on Amazon - meaning you could order them from home and get them delivered.

But it's not something Primark's impressed with.

"We do not have a commercial partnership with Amazon and any Primark products which appear on the site are being re-sold by third parties, at higher prices," the chain said.

"We encourage our customers to visit us in our stores to find the best value."

A quick check by Mirror Money, shows they seem to have a point.

We found a Harry Potter Griffindor Backpack on sale on Amazon for £21.40, with free delivery, but the same product costs just £12 in store.

The iconic Beauty and the Beast Chip mug was also selling at a hefty mark up - costing £22.42 on Amazon, compared to just £5 if you got one in store.

So the question you have to ask is if it's worth paying extra money to avoid the stress of heading to the store itself.

Failing that, it's worth pointing out that a lot of the things on sale at Amazon are no longer available in store.

So it you accidentally break your flatmate's beloved Chip mug, it might be the only way to replace it before they find out.
