Primark Newtownards staff create brilliant video as they donate funds to Ulster Hospital

With stores across the country closed due to the pandemic, Primark employees here have been getting creative to keep their spirits up and raising money for a local hospital.

Staff from Primark in Newtownards have collected £300 between them to donate to the Ulster Hospital, in support of frontline workers in the Respiratory and Covid-19 wards.

They also created a video to show their support, with each segment recorded from their own homes.

The donation from the Newtownards employees is just one part of a global volunteer effort by hundreds of Primark employees to support those at the forefront of the fight against Covid-19.

Primark care packs containing more than 400,000 products will be delivered to frontline workers, volunteers and patients in cities and towns around the world where Primark has stores.

Jacqui Byers, Area Manager, Primark said: “We are proud to show our support for those working tirelessly in the fight against Covid-19. I want to thank all my colleagues in Primark Newtownards who have come together to support their local healthcare workers at Ulster Hospital."
