Primark issues warning to customers about its products being sold on Amazon

Primark lovers were ecstatic to hear the news that items were finally being sold online.

Homeware, shoes and some clothes were found on Amazon and customers were excited to bagging next-day delivery.

But Primark has issued a warning about these online sales and pleaded with customers to keep heading to stores.

The chain posted across its social media channels that it does not have a paternship with Amazon, MirrorOnline reports.

"We do not have a commercial partnership with Amazon and any Primark products which appear on the site are being re-sold by third parties, at higher prices," the post said.

"We encourage our customers to visit us in our stores to find the best value."

The Harry Potter Griffindor Backpack on sale on Amazon for £21.40, with free delivery, but the same product costs just £12 in store.

The iconic Beauty and the Beast Chip mug was also selling at a hefty mark up - costing £22.42 on Amazon, compared to just £5 if you got one in store.

So the question you have to ask is if it's worth paying extra money to avoid the stress of heading to the store itself.

Failing that, it's worth pointing out that a lot of the things on sale at Amazon are no longer available in store.

So it you accidentally break your flatmate's beloved Chip mug, it might be the only way to replace it before they find out.

But the best value and choice will still be found in store.
