Primark is relaunching its website but shoppers still won't be able to buy online

Primark is relaunching its website to make things easier for shoppers.

Unfortunately customers still won't be able to order clothes online or get home delivery, a function that was missed when the high street retailer was closed during lockdown, but the new move will help out.

Launching in 2022, Primark is planning to implement a store checker online so customers can see if an item is available in their local branch.

And while shoppers will still have to head to their local store if they want to purchase the items, it will be a welcome change for many who want to save time.

Currently the website only shows a preview of its latest products but doesn't give full details about what is in stock, reports The Mirror.

Instead, shoppers often have to use social media to get a sneak peek of what new ranges are in store.

In its latest trading update released today, the retailer said the website will relaunch in 2022.

It said: "The improved functionality of the website will allow us to showcase a much larger proportion of the Primark range and provide to customers range availability by store."

Primark, which is a go-to for comfortable loungewear, printed pyjamas and absolute wardrobe steals, has eight stores across Wales. These are located in Cardiff, Newport, Cwmbran, Llandudno, Wrexham, Llanelli, Swansea and Broughton.

Calls for an online store have only increased since retailers were forced to temporarily close in December 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, however, Primark has remained adamant that it won't start selling its clothing online.
