Primark has shared a disappointing message with shoppers

Primark has shared a message with its shoppers that is sure to cause a lot of dissapointment.

The high street retailer has been forced to close all of its stores across England when new lockdown rules came into place earlier this month.

Classed as a 'non-essential' business, shoppers have been left without being able to pick up some cosy lockdown lounge wear or clothes at purse-friendly prices.

And the news just gets a bit more dissapointing.

Primark doesn't have an official online store and after an Eastenders actress took to Twitter in a dramatic plea to Primark to 'save Christmas', they confirmed that this wasn't going to change any time soon.

Danniella Westbrook tweeted the retailer and said: "Ok so I have to say this why oh why does @Primark not have online shopping ....

"Every single last person goes to @Primark. I'm all for safety and lockdown rules but Primark please help a woman out here and allow us to shop online please...."

But the someone replied from the official Primark Twitter account: "Hi Danniella, we don't plan on opening an online shop or a delivery service."

Not letting go, Danniella said in response: "We need you to save Christmas and do delivery !!!!"

But it was Primark who had the last word replying: "We'll pass your comment on to our relevant department and also to Santa, just in case."

There may be good news to come though as Associated British Foods Plc - owners of the popular fashion chain - has said they want to operate stores on a 24/7 basis when non-essential shops are allowed to reopen in England in December.

They have said that plans have been put in place to ensure shoppers are able to socially distance themselves from one another with ease across the festive period.

In the meantime though, there are ways fans can buy clothes online from Primark during lockdown.
