Primark fan goes viral for dressing up as employee to skip queue

A woman has gone viral on social media after dressing up as a Primark employee to skip the Covid queues.

The woman, who is based in Dublin, Ireland, where Primark shops are currently open by appointment only, couldn't get an appointment in her local store, so she devised an ingenious way of getting in anyway: dress up as an employee.

In her TikTok video, which was first reported by the Mirror and has now been viewed over 180,000 times, shows her heading to the store dressed in a uniform for Penneys - the name by which Primark is known in Ireland.

She successfully infiltrates the shop, grabs the items she needs, and appears to leave by the staff entrance, too.

Shoppers have good reason to head to Primark right now, with the retailer launching a flurry of collaborations of late.

As well as an ongoing Disney collection, it's also got lines of items made with the NBA, Jungle Book, and Andrew Fitzsimons, a stylist of the Kardashians

It's also been praised for releasing a line of reusable period underwear.

It's not all been positive in the world of Primark lately, however. One genuine ex-employee has shared a grim horror story from working at the chain.
