Primark has confirmed when it will open its Bristol store when the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions are eased in England.
The city's huge store at 1-27 The Horsefair, in Broadmead, will open next month, the retailer has announced, reports HampshireLive.
Thousands of people have been urging the chain to launch an online delivery service since non-essential retailers were forced to temporarily close amid the pandemic's lockdown periods.
On Monday, February 22, 2021, Prime Minister Boris Johnson set out the road map to exit lockdown, which includes the reopening of non-essential retail.
Primark bosses said they are planning to reopen all 153 stores in England on Monday, April 12, if given the go ahead by Government officials.
The Primark spokesperson said: "We are really looking forward to welcoming our customers back to our stores in England on the provisional re-opening date of 12 April. Safety remains our top priority and we will continue to have extensive safety measures in place in our stores so that employees and customers can return to Primark with confidence.
"We know our customers will love our amazing new Spring/Summer ranges; bright floral prints, leisurewear in spring pastels, as well as some exciting new collaborations with Disney and the NBA, will be all in-store when we re-open.”

The road map consists of four steps, with five weeks between each move. Non-essential retail will not open any earlier than April 12, the second step of the plan.
Alongside non-essential retail, hairdressers, gyms and outdoor hospitality will be allowed to reopen on this date.
Before reopening on April 12, retailers have to make sure their shops are Covid-safe.
