Queensland Police generic, crime scene, police tape

A PRIEST accused of sexual violence while undertaking duties on the Central Coast will face court on Thrursday.

Bankstown police began investigating in July this year after allegations two women, 45 and 22, had been sexually touched on multiple occasions by a man known to them.

Those inquiries led detectives to arrest a 33-year-old man at a Mays Hill home on September 1.

He was charged with seven counts of aggravated sexually touch another person.

"Police will allege in court that the incidents occurred at a home in Bankstown and a church at Mangrove on the state's Central Coast, while the man was undertaking duties as a priest between August 2019 and February 2020," NSW Police said in a statement.

The 33-year-old was granted conditional bail.

He will face Bankstown Local Court.

Police said inquiries continue.
