Pride of Britain host Carol Vorderman urging people to nominate unsung heroes

Pride of Britain host Carol Vorderman is urging readers to nominate the very best of Britain’s unsung heroes, as entries close tomorrow night.

It’s the last chance to put someone forward for this special 20th anniversary for the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards, in partnership with TSB.

Carol, who has hosted the awards for two decades, said: “It’s hard to believe that it’s 20 years since we launched the search for our first Pride of Britain winners.

"The things that make the awards special are the same today.

“In 2019, just as in 1999, there are incredible men, women and children who deserve to be recognised for their awe-inspiring courage.

"And tomorrow is your last chance to tell us about them.

“So if you know an unsung hero, please tell us about them.”

The awards ceremony will be held at London’s Grosvenor House this autumn.
