Liverpool city centre will be brought to a standstill tomorrow as thousands take to the streets to celebrate Pride in Liverpool.
Some of Liverpool's busiest roads will be closed to motorists to make way for the march which will begin just before midday at St George's Plateau.
Road closures around this area will be in place from 11am tomorrow (Saturday, July 27) while roads close to the festival site (Tithebarn Street) will be closed from 5am until midnight.
The march will travel down Lime Street and along St John’s Lane and Queen Square Bus Station, before joining Whitechapel.
The procession will then go through the city centre via Lord Street before heading passing through Castle Street, Cook Street, Victoria Street, Stanley Street, Dale Street and Exchange Street East, before arriving at the festival site on Tithebarn Street at around 1pm.
However, organisers are warning due to higher than usual numbers expected to attend tomorrow’s march, this arrival time may be subject to change.
Road closures will be in place at the festival site from 5am on Saturday, July 27 until midnight. The main streets affected are Tithebarn Street and Pall Mall including the junction between Vauxhall Road and Tithebarn Street and will affect one way streets adjacent to these.
Traffic management and diversions are in place.
Some roads will reopen as the march passes through each area and it is safe to do so.
Access to businesses in Hatton Garden will be facilitated via Dale Street as normal.
Arriva Click will have specially designated stops for Pride in Liverpool on William Brown Street and at the festival site on Tithebarn Street.
