Prices to eat in the Christmas dining igloos coming to Newcastle Quayside

We're still in August but the announcements of Christmas events are coming thick and fast and there is some serious food for thought with the return of the festive dining igloos to Newcastle.

The igloos were booked up well in advance of their arrival on Gateshead Quayside last year as part of the Christmas Tyne winter village and this year will make the trip over the back to sit on the banks of the River Tyne in Newcastle in Wesley Square.

Having invested heavily in the project, operators SSD Concerts has said it is delighted that it has secured the new site for December with new improved dining pods from Dine on the Tyne.

SSD Concerts Managing Director, Steve Davis, said: The move to Newcastle has been in planning for some time now and we're delighted to be able to offer stunning views of both the Millennium and The Tyne Bridge.

“We were really pleased with how last year's Christmas Tyne was received by the public and we knew we had to go again this year.

"We have taken feedback from last years customers and had custom build handmade pods made especially which will be a huge step forward from last year.

Dine by the Tyne igloos will be in Newcastle (Christmas Tyne)

“It will be bigger and better than Christmas Tyne 2018 and we're super confident everyone is going to love what we have planned.”

Christmas Tyne will be open to the public from December 1 until January 5 and will serve up a two-hour dining experience for up to ten guests including a three-course seasonal meal and drinks.

How much are they?

Prices start at £249 for a pod of 10 people and go up to £299 with various time slots available to be booked every day, starting from 12noon and running through to 11pm most days.

You can book up right now from the Gigs North East website.
