'Priceless' - Nottingham Forest fans debate signing of the season as two players lead the way

Nottingham Forest fans have been having their say on who has been the club’s signing of the season so far.

The Reds are currently battling to achieve promotion to the Premier League, and are currently in fifth place in the Sky Bet Championship table.

Sabri Lamouchi’s side have the opportunity to strengthen their promotion chances with a win over Queens Park Rangers this weekend at the City Ground.

Last summer saw Forest bring 12 new players to the club, either on loan or permanent deals, with two in particular impressing supporters.

Sammy Ameobi, Tiago Silva, Alfa Semedo, Yuri Ribeiro, Aro Muric, Albert Adomah, Rafa Mir, Samba Sow, Carl Jenkinson, Brice Samba, Chema Rodriguez and John Bostock have all had varying degrees of success.

Samba has established himself as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper since his summer move from Caen.

Elsewhere, Sow has become a key player in Lamouchi’s midfielder following his transfer from Dinamo Moscow.

Here is what Forest fans had to say about who has been the club’s signing of the season so far.

Gill Bolus: “Brice Samba. His ability inspires confidence from his defence. The sign of a quality keeper.”

Vassilis Poulakos: “Actually last summer's window must have been the most successful of them all. Apart from the two Sambas, there were also Ameobi, Ribeiro, Silva... Chema wasn't that bad either and Semedo has scored a couple of goals (although both into empty nets lol).”

Kevin Fox: “Brice had a great start just showing a few frailties but Samba just gets better if only he could stay fit."

Sam: “Both of you!”

Ammber Williamson: “Its all about the both of you!!”

Dave: “You're both priceless. Just love our Samba beat this season.”

Will Thorpe: “We’ll agree that Samba is signing of the season so far.”

Rich Taylor: "Samba has been excellent barring 1 or 2 mistakes (every keeper makes them!) Sow goes unnoticed a bit for me as in not many goals or assists but excellent defensively, if he's not in the team we don't win! Any one of about 6/7 could win POTS for me.... Samba, Sow, Cash, Watson, Grabban. Silva and Ribeiro has also been top drawer and are a massive part of the way we play. Worrall has come on leaps and bounds this season. Lolley is bang in form now after a slower start this season. It really could be anyone! If I had to choose now I think I'd vote for Cashy."
