Dec. 29--The Clippers, who have lost three of their last four games and four of their last six, host the Utah Jazz at Staples Center on Monday evening.
They haven't had two consecutive days without games since Dec. 4 and 5, and after losing to the Toronto Raptors on Saturday, some of the players acknowledged their tiredness.
"Felt like we ran out of gas before the game started," Chris Paul said after the team's 110-98 loss. "We were just trying to stay the course."
The Clippers are two games into a nine-game homestand. They opened this stretch with an impressive 100-86 win over the Golden State Warriors -- the top team in the West -- over Christmas before falling to Toronto, snapping their eight-game win streak at home.
Chris Paul will enter Monday's game with something to prove after matching his season-low 10 points on three-for-12 shooting in Saturday's game. He averaged 23.3 points in his previous four games.
The Clippers are in sixth place in the Western Conference, while the Utah Jazz are in 13th place. The Clippers have beaten the Jazz 11 straight times since a 108-79 loss on Jan. 17, 2012.
The Jazz have won four of their last five games. Before that, they had a stretch where they lost 12 of 13 games.
Clippers backup center Spencer Hawes remains sidelined with a bone bruise in his left knee. Alec Burks is out for the Jazz with a left shoulder injury.
