Preview: Clippers vs. Utah Jazz

Nov. 03--The Clippers, who lost their first game of the season Sunday against the Sacramento Kings, close their arduous stretch of four games in five nights Monday against the Utah Jazz.

The Clippers (2-1) have led by double digits in each of their last three games, then blown those leads to have a tight game down the stretch. They lucked out their first two games before falling to the Kings, 98-92.

The Clippers will play the Jazz without Glen "Big Baby" Davis (strained right groin) and will likely be missing reigning sixth man of the year Jamal Crawford, who has bruised ribs. Crawford is listed as "doubtful."

Clippers star point guard, Chris Paul, suffered a sprained left foot in the first half of Sunday's game. Despite the injury, he finished with 16 points, 11 assists and four steals.

The Jazz, who finished last season with the worst record in the Western Conference, have opened their season with a record of 1-2. They are seeking back-to-back wins for the first time since Feb. 24-26 after beating Phoenix, 118-91, on Saturday.

In that game, Derrick Favors led the Jazz with a career-high 32 points and nine rebounds

After playing the Jazz, the Clippers will head to Golden State to play the Warriors on Wednesday.
