Preview: Clippers vs. Phoenix Suns

Nov. 13--After losing to the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday, the Clippers will play the Phoenix Suns on Thursday in the second leg of a back-to-back.

In Wednesday's 118-108 loss, the Clippers were only down by two points down the stretch, then were left in the dust in the last 82 seconds as the Mavericks went on an 8-0 run.

The game was emotionally charged because it was the first time DeAndre Jordan played on the Mavericks' court after he spurned the organization by backing out of a verbal commitment to join the team in July, instead opting to rejoin the Clippers.

The Clippers' last four games have come down to the final minute of the fourth quarter -- and they've only finished effectively once, beating the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday, 94-92. In addition to falling to the Mavericks, they've lost in the closing seconds to the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets.

The Suns (3-4) have lost two consecutive games, including a 124-103 loss to Oklahoma City on Sunday. The Suns had 23 turnovers in that game, the second time they had 20 or more turnovers in their last three games.

The Clippers and Suns met at Staples Center on Nov. 2, with the Clippers winning, 102-96. The Clippers have won their last eight games against the Suns.
