Pretty Little Thing fishnet face mask trolled as 'pointless' by baffled shoppers

Pretty Little Thing has been slammed for selling a "pointless" £10 fishnet face mask that provides no coverage.

The discount fashion retailer's diamante mask was trolled by shoppers online who branded it 'useless' and 'ridiculous' .

The bizarre bedazzled item, which has since been removed from its website, was advertised as a 'glam' and 'statement' mask.

Worn by a model with the fishnet holes over the mouth and nose provide no coverage.

The fast fashion retailer did not appear to state that it is to be used for personal protective purposes.

It was first spotted by Twitter user Imogen Jayde, who wrote: "Think PLT missed the point."

The post has since racked up 25,000 likes as baffled shoppers shared their opinion on the mask.

A user from Glasgow, named Rebekah, commented: "The most useless thing I've ever seen."

Another tweeted: "Just a bit pointless".

One Twitter user offered a handy solution to the bizarre face mask and wrote: "Ideal for wearing down the pub so you can drink through a straw without removing your mask."

The Daily Record has contacted the Boohoo Group for comment.
