
A field at Showa Kinen Park in Tokyo is carpeted in vivid pink as Sweet-William catchflies -- called komachiso in Japanese -- are in bloom. The 250-square-meter area at the park, which stretches between the municipalities of Tachikawa and Akishima, is covered with 7,500 flowers, the park said. The blossoms will be at their best through the end of this month.
