
A hill covered in bright pink petunias in full bloom greets visitors at the Musashi-Kyuryo National Government Park in Namegawa, Saitama Prefecture. In June, about 10,000 petunias were planted at the park, which is better known as Shinrin Koen, across an area of about 4,700 square meters, according to park officials. The flowers began blooming from early July despite the extreme summer heat and can be enjoyed until mid-September.
