Canberra's "pretend suburb", home to Parliament House, has taken out the hard-earned title of the "shittest suburb" in the territory.
Capital Hill was named the ACT's Shittest Suburb for 2021 in the latest Shit Towns of Australia poll.
The home of Australian Parliament House has earned itself the dishonourable title, with the Belconnen suburb of Charnwood coming in second.
With 17 per cent of the vote, it was the highest ranked inhabited suburb in the nation's capital.
While sure to go up against tough competition, the hill housing Parliament House could now be a strong contender to be named the "shittest suburb" in the country, in a poll at the end of year.
"Parliament's postcode beat a strong field of Canberra crappers to take out the title, in an apparent rebuke of all the flogs who work there," Shit Towns of Australia wrote to social media.
The scorned suburb has drawn more attention than most recently, most notably when thousands of people gathered outside calling for action to end violence against women.
They were met with the words of Prime Minister Scott Morrison, who declared hundreds of thousands of people marching for women's rights across the country not being met with bullets, was a success.
The final result of the ACT Shittest Suburbs of 2021 poll:
- Capital Hill: 23 per cent
