Pret launches new Autumn menu with delicious pumpkin spice latte, pecan cookies and more

Summer is becoming a distant memory as the nights grow darker and the temperatures take a chilly dip.

But as we wave goodbye to evenings spent in an Edinburgh beer garden, there is one thing we can look forward to - pumpkin spice lattes.

That is just one of the seasonal treats on Pret A Manger's new hot food menu, which will launch in stores nationwide today.

The Autumn menu is focused on hot and hearty food, with nine new soups to choose from and new lunchtime omelettes, including a chorizo and red pepper omelette.

But the highlight of the menu has to be the toasted olive oil and rosemary focaccias that come in three mouth-watering combinations:

  • Brie & bacon toasted focaccia, with sweet caramelised onion chutney and spicy rocket.
  • Salt beef & pickles toasted focaccia with Swedish greve, pickled gherkins and mustard mayo.
  • The mozzarella, pesto & roasted tomatoes toasted focaccia with pesto, roasted tomatoes and crunchy red pepper.

There is also two Autumn-inspired sweet treats, a ginger snap biscuit and Pret’s pecan & caramel cookie, made with chunks of pecan, caramel, toffee and white chocolate.

The popular pumpkin spice latte is also making a return, along with new rhubarb lemonade and ginger kombucha.

Pret’s Global Head of Food Innovation, Hannah Dolan, said: “Toasties have always been really popular with our customers and we knew the time had come to bring out a new hot sandwich.

"We think our new Toasted Focaccias are perfect for warming up at cold autumn lunchtimes!"
