Pret A Manger is set to launch a new retail range it will sell on Amazon, the sandwich and coffee shop chain said on Monday.

The firm will launch its first retail range on May 18 with three organic coffee products going on sale on Amazon.co.uk and in Pret shops.

Among the goods on offer are Pret’s organic espresso beans and Pret’s organic single-origin Peruvian ground coffee.

The move marks a new revenue stream for the business which has been gradually re-opening some stores that closed during the Covid-19 lockdown.

From today, over 100 Pret shops are open. Pret A Manger said the stores are open for takeaway and delivery through third party partners with new social distancing and safety measures in place. The company has over 600 shops in 10 countries.

More products are set to be launched for at-home consumers.

Pret’s UK managing director Clare Clough said: “This marks the first time that our customers can make their favourite Pret coffee at home.”
