Pret a Manger has revealed it will launch a subscription coffee service allowing customers to buy up to five hot drinks a day for just £20 a month - and the first month is free.
The food on the go retailer, which recently closed down its branches in Grainger Street, Newcastle and MetroCentre, Gateshead, has seen sales slump around the UK as customers are working from home and avoiding city centres. Pret a Manger in Northumberland Street, Newcastle, reopened in July.
In a bid to win back trade, Pret will launch its innovative YourPret subscription deal, offering a new way for people to pay for hot drinks, with huge savings for regular customers.
For a £20 a month, subscribers can buy up to 155 hot drinks (on a 31-day month), limited to five per day. YourPret customers can redeem one drink every 30 minutes, up to the five-a-day maximum.
For a limited period, the first-month subscription will be free, after which customers will be charged £20 per month.
YourPret subscriptions can be used to pay for organic coffee, tea, hot chocolate, all iced drinks including iced coffee, cold brew, frappes and smoothies (except cocoa, almond butter & banana smoothie, raspberry, mango & ginger smoothie, and avocado, mango and ginger Smoothie) and including any milk alternatives, syrups and extra coffee shots.
