Prestonfield Avenue closed: Edinburgh route to shut for four days with six bus stops out of action

A closure to Edinburgh's Prestonfield Avenue will see six bus stops out of action for four days.

A stretch of the busy road will shut at 9.30am on Friday morning and remain off-limits to traffic until 5am on Tuesday (25 February).

The City of Edinburgh Council say the section between King's Meadow and Clearburn Road will be affected. Three-way temporary traffic lights will also be in place on Peffermill Road and King's Meadow.

The measures are being introduced to allow Cityfibre fibre installation to be carried out.

Lothian Buses have said that six bus stops on the route, between Peffermill Road and Dalkeith Road, will be closed for the duration. Services 2, 14, 30 and N30 will also be diverted, and will operate directly via Dalkeith Road and Peffermill Road in both directions.

Those at Lothian Buses have created a small map to show details of the diversions in place. For more information on how your journey could be affected, visit the Lothian Buses website.
