Preston should have been out of sight at half-time against Nottingham Forest, says goalscorer Billy Bodin

Preston North End goalscorer Billy Bodin felt his team could have been out of sight at half-time against Nottingham Forest.

The forward opened the scoring in the 40th minute before Albert Adomah earned Forest a point with his 79th minute equaliser.

Brice Samba made two good saves for the Reds in a first half the visitors controlled at the City Ground and Bodin says Preston needed to be more clinical.

"On another day it could have been three or four. There were a few of us out of position," he said.

"We went slightly differently and it worked well first half. It could have been two or three and the lads are disappointed that we didn't get in another goal ahead.

"We've got to do better second half. The manager said that at the end.

"The lads know it. It's disappointing and something we have to work on.

"We go again after the international break. We knew it would pan out (with Forest coming at them) like that after the break.

"We've got to deal with it slightly better."

The 27-year-old got his second goal of the season after Joe Worrall had blocked his initial shot before giving Samba no chance when the ball came back to him.

"I should have done better with the chance a couple of seconds earlier. I chopped inside and the shot was blocked," he said.

"Thankfully, I think a shot was sliced back to me and I managed to get a yard or two, hit it on target and hit it low through the bodies.

"It's a great feeling get that first goal, but it's a shame we didn't go into the break two or three up."
