Preston North End cut their pre-tax losses during their latest financial year which saw the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Newly filed accounts for the Championship club's parent company, Deepdale PNE Holdings, show their losses went from £14.3m to £10m in the 12 months to June 30, 2020.
The Deepdale Stadium club's turnover also went from £13.8m to £12.5m over the same period.
A statement signed off by the board said: "The Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in a significant impact on the group's ability to trade and therefore its cash flow.
"This is mainly as a result of the club's inability to admit supporters to the stadium to watch football matches.
"The board continues to review this situation and has prepared plans to safely admit the permitted number of supporters back into the stadium as soon as the regulations allow."
There were seven fewer matches played in the financial year due to Covid-19.
The club's average attendance fell from 14,153 to 13,577 while season ticket numbers went from 8,453 to 8,385.
The statement added: "Cash flow continues to be adverse as the club has contracted a squad with wages which are high in comparison to its revenue.
"The group has therefore continued to be reliant on the financial support of its shareholder."
Deepdale PNE Holdings is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Grovemoor Ltd, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wordon Ltd.
Both are incorporated in the Isle of Man while Wordon Ltd is owned by Trevor Hemmings.
