Prestigious national award for Perth kart talent Chloe Grant

Perth racer Chloe Grant has been hailed the British Women's Racing Driver Club’s Kart Sport Champion for 2020.

The Perth High School pupil is thrilled to be awarded the prestigious national UK award, which spans all the age groups for girls and women competing in kart racing.

“It’s fantastic to get this award,” said Chloe (14), who took up the sport when she was seven.

“Normally it is presented at the annual Autosport International Show in Birmingham.

“But it was still a huge thrill when the trophy was delivered to the house.”

In a motorsport season curtailed by the pandemic lockdown, Chloe also won the Junior Club Championship at the Cumbria Kart Racing Club in July.

Building on the success of 2019, she was competing in Junior Rotax in a Tonykart with Cannon Motorsport.

Chloe, who is backed by Chiropractic Life Perth, Gary Buist Commercials and Bannerman’s Colour Studio, also posted a third-place finish in the Northern Karting Federation Championship.
