Pressuring Tom Brady will be key for Titans vs. Patriots

The Tennessee Titans didn’t record a single sack on New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady the last time the two teams met in the postseason.

He completed 35-of-53 passes for 337 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-14 victory over the Titans.

The team will want to change that this time around, and has proven that they can in the past.

The last time the Titans and Patriots clashed in a regular season game, the Titans recorded a dominant 34-10 win.

Tennessee brought Brady down three times and also racked up seven quarterback hits on a day that Brady completed on just 21 of 41 pass attempts.

Titans defensive end Jurrell Casey knows the Titans have to get to the signal-caller to be successful.

“You have to get into the pocket and put pressure on him as much as you can,” Casey said of Brady. “We have to get him rattled and get him frustrated as much as we can. Without getting to him, we are bound to lose this game. So the biggest key is to get to him as much as we can.”

There’s blood in the water as the two teams meet again on Saturday, and the Patriots will certainly be looking for redemption after an embarrassing 27-24 loss to the Miami Dolphins last week.

The two teams are set to kick off at 7:15 p.m. CST on Saturday in Gillette Stadium.
