The 10-4 Vikings face off against the 11-3 Packers on Monday Night Football at U.S. Bank Stadium in Week 16.
Both teams have already clinched a playoff spot, but there is playoff positioning to be had.
The Packers go into the game as the No. 3 seed in the NFC. If Green Bay wins out, or goes 1-1 with a New Orleans’ loss to the Panthers next week, the Packers will clinch a first-round bye. Green Bay will also clinch the NFC North division with a win over the next two weeks, guaranteeing a home game in the wild card round.
However, if the Vikings win, the Packers will need to win next week in Detroit to win the NFC North and to give themselves a chance at a first-round bye.
The Vikings have an outside chance at a first-round bye as well if they win out against the Packers and Bears, if the Packers lose to the Lions and if the Saints lose to the Panthers in Carolina.
