An international press watchdog has called for the release from a Rwandan prison of an ailing Congolese university professor, Idesbald Byabuze Katabaruka. According to Reporters Without Borders (RWB), he was detained on February 16 in the Rwandan capital of Kigali in connection with a 2005 report critical of President Paul Kagame. But Katabaruka , who is in frail health, has denied writing the report. "This distressing case highlights the Rwandan government's extreme sensitivity to criticism," said an RWB statement.
