President Trump is calling Omarosa a 'dog' now

President Donald Trump lashed out at Omarosa Manigault Newman in a vicious Twitter attack Tuesday morning, calling her a "crazed, crying lowlife" and a "dog."

While the president didn't specifically mention his former White House aide, the tweet appears to be in response to Newman's recent release of conversations she secretly recorded during her time with the Trump administration.

"When you give a crazed, crying lowlife a break and give her a job at the White House, I guess it just didn't work out. Good work by General Kelly for quickly firing that dog!" the President tweeted as CBS News shared a tape from an October 2016 meeting.

The public feud between the president and his former reality star protege has been escalating amid Newman's press tour for her tell-all book, "Unhinged," which details her brief stint at the Trump White House. In her memoir, she accuses Trump of racism and alleges that he was recorded using the "N-word" while he filmed his show, "The Apprentice."

Newman said the tapes released Tuesday morning captured several top Trump campaign staffers _ including Lynne Patton, then-assistant to Eric Trump, campaign spokesperson Katrina Pierson and campaign communications director Jason Miller _ discussing how they would handle the fallout should the alleged "N-word" tapes be made public.

Describing the clip to CBS, Newman said it contradicts the denials recently issued by Pierson and Patton, who previously denied any call on the matter ever happened. The president on Monday also denied his former aide's allegations of racism, calling her "wacky" and "vicious but not smart" in a string of enraged tweets.

Earlier in the day the former "Apprentice" contestant" provided a NBC a 2017 tape, allegedly recorded after her dismissal from the White House by Kelly, in which the president can be heard saying he had no knowledge of her firing.

"Nobody even told me about," he said, per the recording. "You know they run a big operation but I didn't know it."
