President Trump called Kirk Cousins after he beat the New York Giants

Kirk Cousins, the former star quarterback of the Michigan State Spartans, has had a tough go of it this season as he tries to live up to a big three-year, $84-million contract with the Minnesota Vikings. Cousins threw for 306 yards and two touchdowns in the Vikings win against the New York Giants Sunday and earned a phone call from the President of the United States Donald Trump.

The two have been friendly in the past, going golfing while Cousins played for the Washington Redskins, and Trump has an upcoming rally being hosted in Minnesota so this very well could have just been a tactic. Nevertheless, when a former Michigan State player gets a call from the president, we’ll be covering that here, no matter who the president is.
