President says Man Utd 'most likely' to sign €100m 'next Cristiano Ronaldo' and Liverpool have 24 hours to get £60m deal done

These are the latest transfer stories from the Premier League and around the world.

Man Utd keen on 'next Cristiano Ronaldo'

Manchester United are seen as the most likely club to sign Gonçalo Ramos - dubbed 'the next Cristiano Ronaldo'.

Benfica president Rui Costa says United are willing to meet the youngster's €100million release clause

The 22-year-old is attracting serious interest from around the world, with Portuguese outlet Correio da Manha reporting Costa has already rejected an offer of €50million plus €10million in various add-ons from an unnamed club

Costa, according to the same publication, believes United are the most likely to activate the clause in the striker's contract, with PSG also interested.

Liverpool have 24 hours to get deal done

LIverpool have just hours left to activate the €70million release clause in RB Leipzig midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai's contract.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports the clause expires on June 30 - tomorrow.

The Athletic reported the Reds have already met with the Hungarian's camp over a move to Anfield - but if they want to sign him for the fee quoted - around £60million - they will have to act fast.

The 22-year-old - who has a Steven Gerrard quote tattooed on his arm - has been capped 32 times for his country.

£55m star on way to Newcastle

Sandro Tonali's £55million move to Newcastle United could be about to speed up after Italy were dumped out of the under-21 European Championships.

The Magpies have reportedly agreed a fee with the midfielder's club AC Milan, and the process could now well accelerate with his international commitments now over this summer.

Defeat to Norway has enabled Tonali to travel to Tyneside to put the finishing touches on his move which is sure to raise eyebrows in the Premier League.

The Toon are also in talks with Southampton over a deal for England Under-21 full-back Tino Livramento - which would see Ryan Fraser head in the opposite direction.

Arsenal confirm Havertz deal

Arsenal have confirmed the signing of German international Kai Havertz from Chelsea.

The attacker joins the north London club on a long-term contract after three seasons at Stamford Bridge. During his time in west London he made 139 appearances, scoring 32 goals and assisting 15 times in all competitions.

He also scored the winner in 2021 Champions League final against Manchester City.

He said: “It's super exciting for me to be joining this amazing club and to be part of the Arsenal family. This club has such a big history, and I hope we can achieve lots of things.

“The mentality in the Arsenal squad is very high and you can feel that. That was one of the reasons why it has been so hard to play against Arsenal recently.

“The aim is to win trophies and I’m going to give everything to do that for the supporters and everyone at the club. I'm now looking forward to meeting all the players and the staff when we come back for pre-season.”
