President Ram Nath Kovind approves appointment of Vice Chancellors of 12 central universities

New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind on Friday approved appointment of Vice Chancellors of 12 central universities. 

With these appointments, 12 of the 22 vice-chancellor posts have been filled. These universities had vacant VC positions from a long time and a decision was made considering all the guidelines mentioned by the University Grants Commission.  

Here is the full list of appointment of Vice Chancellors:

1. Central university of Haryana: Tankeshwar Kumar
2. Central university of Himachal Pradesh: Sat Prakash Bansal
3. Central university of Jammu: Sanjeev Jain
4. Central university of Jharkhand: Kshiti Bhushan Das 
5. Central university of Karnataka: Battu Satyanarayana
6. Central university of Tamil Nadu: Muthukalingan Krishnan
7. Central university of Hyderabad: Basuthkar J Rao
8. Central university of South Bihar: Kameshwar Nath Singh
9. North-Eastern Hill University: Prabha Shankar Shukla
10. Guru Ghasidas: Alok Kumar Chakrawal
11. Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU): Syed Ainul Hasan
12. Manipur University: N Lokender Singh
