President Obama among viewers of Stephen Curry’s COVID-19 info session

Stephen Curry might not be able to take his talents to the NBA’s hardwood at the moment, but that doesn’t mean that he’s unable to show his abilities as a broadcaster.

On Thursday, the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player and franchise star for the Golden State Warriors hosted an online Q&A session with Dr. Fauci, the American immunologist who serves as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force.

Curry announced the Q&A session on his social media channels on Wednesday. It was conducted via Curry’s Instagram account using the IG Live feature and attracted more than 48,000 viewers.

Among those 48,000 viewers were none other than President Barack Obama. President Obama and Curry have a long-standing relationship, so it’s no surprise that the country’s former top man took some time out to check out Curry’s broadcast with Dr. Fauci.

The former President sent a humble wave as a comment while the duo diligently kept at the task at hand. No pun intended.

Together with Dr. Fauci, Curry engaged his viewers in a live Q&A session in which they answered questions related to the progression of Coronavirus in the United States, best practices for protecting oneself against the virus and what the federal government plans to do to address the crisis in the nation’s hotbeds, which include the Pacific Northwest, Northern California and New York City.

Curry’s tackling the issue head-on is yet another example of the NBA and its stars being zealous as it relates to their reaction to the disruption that the spread of the virus has caused not only on the court, but off of it, as well.
