President Michael D Higgins has offered us another glimpse at his adorable new Bernese Mountain puppy Misneach as he went a stroll in Phoenix Park.
Earlier this week, President Higgins melted the hearts of the nation when he unveiled the latest addition to Aras an Uachtarain.
In a statement, President Michael D Higgins said he had given the gorgeous pup the name 'Misneach', which translates as 'Courage', due "the times we live in".
The arrival of Misneach to Aras an Uachtarain comes just months after the death of the President's beloved Bernese Mountain dog Sioda, who passed away last September following a short illness.
Sioda, along with Brod, a male of the same breed, charmed scores of special guests to the president's residence in Dublin, including the Duke and Duchess of Sussex during their visit to Ireland in 2018.
The adorable pair became the stars of the Aras, with unofficial Instagram and Twitter pages being made in their names amassing thousands of followers.
Misneach is now proving to be a perfect companion for Brod in Sioda's absence, with President Higgins sharing a series of adorable snaps of the pooches out for a stroll with him and his wife Sabina in Phoenix Park.
The heart-warming pictures drew an enthusiastic response online, with Twitter users unable to get enough of the President out with his furry friends.
"Love him, his family, his dogs, the way he represents us at home and abroad," wrote one person in response to the sweet snaps.
"Thank you for these photos. Our President's smile here with Bród and Misneach has lifted my spirits. Fab photos," added a second.
And a third person wrote: "A gorgeous and very lucky new pupper, beautiful and very apt names. Delighted to have these three represent us."
President Higgins also posted a video of the outing to his TikTok account, with his followers fawning over his beautiful two pets.
"Can't get enough of Bród and Misneach," one person said.
"Following just to get more pupdates," said another, with a third adding: "The president we could ask for".
We're sure we won't be the only ones keeping a close eye on the President's social media accounts for any further glimpses of Misneach.
