What will the 2019 preseason AP college football rankings look like? It’s our prediction for what the poll will be to set the tone for the season. Here’s the predicted best guess.

Even in the world of the College Football Playoff, the AP preseason poll is still a big deal thanks to the tradition, and as a snapshot of the teams going into the season.
Last year, the preseason top two were the same in the AP and Coaches polls – Alabama 1, Clemson 2 – but the AP had Georgia third and Wisconsin fourth, and the Coaches had Ohio State third.
The big mistakes, besides Wisconsin? Miami was No. 8, USC was 15th, and Florida State was 19th. CFP No. 4 Oklahoma was seventh, and CFP No. 3 Notre Dame was 12th to kick things off.

Considering AP voters will most likely go off of the teams with the top returning starters, their local teams they know, and their research across the large base, here’s the best guess at trying to get into their minds to predict what they’re going to submit in late August.
Again, this is just a prediction and not the real thing, so don’t get mad or too happy quite yet. Final 2018 rankings are in parentheses.
