Nottingham Forest full-back Matty Cash was the subject of a number of bids yesterday.
Both AC Milan and West Ham United made offers for the player that are believed to be well under Forest's own valuation for the player according to reports.
According to The Athletic, Forest have received an initial offer of £10 million from West Ham. Instalments and add-ons will take the full value of the bid to £12 million but this is short of a bid from AC Milan and far under Forest's asking price of £18 million.
Cash has potentially played himself into a January move with his excellent performances this season. Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi is keen to keep his squad together as they mount a promotion push.
“In English, it is ‘no way’. No way. No way," said head coach Sabri Lamouchi on Wednesday night when asked about Cash's potential transfer.
“No way. Don’t talk about players going out. We want to talk about players who can come in.
“We are doing well. I am very close to my players, because we need to focus on the pitch. We need to focus on what they are doing now together. That is the most important thing."
West Ham fans are in two minds about whether a move for Cash is the right deal - and plenty are suspicious about the intentions of their owners in the transfer window.
