Prepare to engage your overdraft, because the Lego Star Trek Enterprise is incredible (but you can get one free if you're quick)

Lego U.S.S. Enterprise against a cosmic background.

Lego has finally pulled back the curtain its first ever Lego Star Trek set, boldly going where it's never gone before (but everyone hoped it would) with a Lego Enterprise from The Next Generation.

Although it's got a name harder to say quickly than a Klingon greeting, the Lego Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D is magnificent enough to earn that mouthful of a moniker. This 3,600-piece kit recreates Starfleet's flagship vessel along with nine minifigure versions of her crew including Picard, Riker, and Data. It'll be joining the best Lego sets on November 28, 2025. However, anyone that's part of the free Lego Insider program can sign up for a sweepstake to win a Lego Enterprise signed by Commander Riker himself – Jonathan Frakes. You'll be given a chance to join via livestream on the Lego store today, November 6.

As a Trek fan, I was very curious about what Lego would make following the teaser earlier this year. Would it be the ship, or individual rooms like the iconic bridge? It's gone for the former, and I'm glad it did; the result is hugely impressive, especially because the Lego Enterprise features a detachable command saucer, secondary hull, and opening shuttlebay to admit two tiny shuttlepods.

Speaking of shuttles, that's the gift-with-purchase for this kit. The Lego Star Trek Type-15 Shuttlepod is going to be available with the Enterprise for free while stocks last, and it's a nifty add-on. Besides recreating it as it appeared on the show, it opens to reveal an LCARS system display complete with Stardate 45076.3 and a Romulan spacecraft schematic. Piloting the vessel is a minifigure of Ensign Ro Laren.

While we're on the subject of minifigures, the main Lego Enterprise kit includes all the big players: Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Commander William Riker, Lieutenant Worf, Lieutenant Commander Data, Dr. Beverly Crusher, Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge, Counsellor Deanna Troi, Bartender Guinan, and Wesley Crusher. These come armed with accessories ranging from a phaser and tricorder to Spot the cat and Picard's teacup. Even Riker's trombone makes an appearance.

Lego was able to snag Jonathan Frakes to chat about the set, saying, "as Commander Riker, I spent a lot of time on the bridge of the Enterprise, and now fans can take the helm themselves… in Lego brick form! This set is a fantastic way to relive the adventures of the crew, piece by piece. Look out for a cameo in the livestream with an offer to win a signed Enterprise set!"

November feels like it's turning into the month for '80s throwback sets; just a few weeks ago, star Ke Huy Quan revealed a Lego Goonies set that recreated the movie's best moments. When taken alongside the Gremlins Gizmo kit that launched earlier in 2025, not to mention the Lego Game Boy, it seems as though nostalgia is reigning supreme right now.

The Lego Enterprise will be available from November 28, which means it arrives just in time for this year's Black Friday Lego deals. Time to engage that overdraft, I suppose.

Looking for more brick-based goodness? Be sure to check out the new Lego sets for November.
